Things have developed at Shopping City Chaplaincy.
We now have a chaplaincy space called 'Sanctuary', still in the process of being developed, transformed from a travel agency (the old Thomas cook then Hays) into a quiet prayer space and a place to come and chat with a chaplain about the things that we sometimes need to talk about.
Our team has grown. The Rev Debbie Dalby, recently licensed at St Andrews as Curate is now part of the team. In addition we have a trainee minister, Karen Jones, on placement with us until next summer.
This means that we are now present on Wednesdays and Fridays from about 11am to 2pm in the Sanctuary.
There is a team of volunteer chaplains in training who, I hope, will be joining the team sometime in December when we will be able to be open more days of the week.
